What to Do, Season by Season
Summer and Fall
Long days built for the outdoors. Raft the Snake River, ride the Aerial Tram in Teton Village, cross Jenny Lake by boat to Hidden Falls, or take a wildlife tour into Grand Teton at dawn. In town, catch the Jackson Hole Rodeo, the Town Square Shootout, and patio dinners a short walk from your room. By late September the elk are bugling and the aspens turn gold, which is the valley at its quietest and arguably its best.
Winter and Spring
Three ski mountains inside 45 miles: Snow King right in town, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, and Grand Targhee over the pass. Off the slopes, take a sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge, ride the Cowboy Coaster or the tubing hill at Snow King, book a snowmobile tour into Yellowstone, or soak at Astoria Hot Springs.
